Mt. Lebanon Activations

Early catalysts in the formation of Tangible Mind were the gatherings at Mt. Lebanon Shaker Village. We brought together architects, designers, structural engineers, city planners, innovation strategists, and funders to explore what it means to build—physically, culturally, and ethically.

What could contemporary civic and technological structures learn from traditions rooted in communal labor and integrity?

This convergence seeded many of the principles that guide Tangible Mind: working across disciplines, attending to the invisible infrastructures that shape daily life, and grounding innovation in lived experience. The dialogues that unfolded—across professions, generations, and values—became a blueprint for how we collaborate, listen, and prototype in our programs. Mt. Lebanon offered not just a setting, but a method: build with purpose, together.
